Natural snow until spring!
In the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Ankogel Mallnitz is one of the most snow-sure mountains in Carinthia. Right on the main Alpine ridge, this ski area in Mallnitz also benefits from the snowfall on the north side of the Hohe Tauern, where the famous Gastein Valley is located. The cable car runs in 2 sections from the valley station at 1287 m in the climatic health resort of Mallnitz to the mountain station at exactly 2636 meters. The ski area is also very popular with freeriders (skiers and snowboarders) and offers plenty of space for long carving turns. Beginners and children can learn these exciting winter sports at the Köfele lifts at the valley station. Culinary delights await you at the Hannoverhaus, the Hochalmblick, the Alpenrose and the Raineralm and there is entertainment at the Skizirkus at the valley station.

Mallnitz has 25 km of classic cross-country trails and 25 km of skating trails, which are equally popular with sporty cross-country skiers and leisurely trail hikers.
