Arrival by train to Mallnitz-Obervellach station

Mallnitz is located directly on the north-south railroad line and has the declared intercity railroad station Mallnitz-Obervellach.

Whether from Munich, Udine, Zurich or Vienna – all trains stop in Mallnitz.

Travel to Mallnitz by car or motorcycle

From the direction of Munich

• via Salzburg – highway (A10) – exit Bischofshofen direction Gasteinertal – Badgastein – Böckstein (car loading through the Tauern tunnel) – Mallnitz.
• via Salzburg – highway (A10) direction Villach – Tauern highway tunnel (toll) – before Spittal exit Lendorf direction Mallnitz – Möllbrücke turn right into Mölltal/Großglockner/Mallnitz – Obervellach – Mallnitz
• via the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (open approx. May to October) – Heiligenblut – Obervellach – Mallnitz
• via Kufstein – Wörgl – Kitzbühel – Felbertauern Tunnel – Lienz – Obervellach – Mallnitz

Vignette for highway
A one-day vignette has also been available since 2023. It is only available digitally and is particularly interesting for holidaymakers. Its main purpose is to keep streams of tourists on the freeways and thus relieve traffic-ridden communities. Like all vignettes, it is available online at https://shop.asfinag.at/ and will cost 8.60 euros for cars and 3.40 euros for motorcycles in 2024

From Mallnitz train station to Apartments Hohenberger
Upon arrival in Mallnitz, drive 1.5 kilometers from the train station to the indoor swimming pool, take the next entrance on the right after the swimming pool, and after about 500 meters, Haus Hohenberger awaits you on the left side of the road.
