The new podcast of the mountaineering villages:
The great development work in Mallnitz was almost exclusively the work of German and Austrian Alpine Club sections at the end of the 19th century, who found their field of activity here in the beautiful mountain world of the Hohe Tauern and thus their second alpine home. Paths and huts also bear the names of these sections, whether Graz (Arthur-von-Schmid-Haus), Hanover, Hagen, Minden, Celle, Osnabrück or Witten.
The construction of the Tauern Railway at the beginning of the last century laid a lasting foundation stone for the development of the mountains in and around Mallnitz.
