Mountain Advent Mallnitz

Mallnitz at ~1,200 meters is perfect for a mountain Advent. Travel by train to Mallnitz-Obervellach station and hike along the Christmas-lit Advent trail along the stream promenade into the mountaineering village of Mallnitz. As you walk, you can feel the Tauern wind, hear the babbling of the Mallnitzbach stream and, with a bit of luck, it might even snow. Cars can be parked at the P+R at the train station.

Step by step, you get in the mood for the Advent season, the quiet time, and finally arrive at the Mallnitz village square, where the beautiful huts with handicrafts and culinary delicacies await you.

The Mallnitz Mountain Advent has several stations and there is plenty for young and young at heart to discover and experience – a peaceful and quiet world framed by the surrounding mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
